My mother gave me this devotional book when I was very young and at the age of 25 I am still reading it every day. With two young babies though, it has become rather difficult to make time to spend with The Lord as terrible as that may sound. But having an app on my phone, which I constantly must have with me, allows me to enter into His Word anytime anywhere. I firmly believe that the Lord spoke through LB Cowman when she wrote this devotion. It has been my ally through many years of struggle and hardship. It is a devotion aimed towards those who are at a loss in their life. Who are overcome with the troubles of this world. Who are looking for that missing part in their lives that will bring them aid and replenishment. The main source of that is of course The Lord but LB Cowmans Streams allows any man, believer or not, to be replenished by His Word and Spirit without feeling condemned. It is an amazing devotion and I will pass it on to my daughters as they grow. For we all know, that no matter who you are or what you have there will always be "deserts" and what a blessing it is that we may drink from an everlasting cup of His love grace and mercy.
